Providing Photovoltaic Installation Training & Certification

Goals:

The objective of the photovoltaic installer course is to prepare and certify the student as an entry level technician in the field of solar installation and renewable energies technology.

This comprehensive course is comprised of 70 hours of detailed instruction delivered over a 2 week period. The course consists of both lecture and extensive hands on training. After successfully completeing the course, each student will be a viable candidate for the position of an entry level photovoltaic system installer.

Instructor:
Ken Avenetti

Ken has been in the solar installation business for the last 5 years and he has installed over 100 residential and commercial systems in and around Southern California. In his solar energy career, Ken has worked in all areas of the photovoltaic project, such as the site evaluation, proposals, paperwork and installation, which also includes commissioning from the local service provider. Ken also has a military background as he is a retired Chief in the United States Navy. He was a Naval instructor for 7 years here in San Diego and he still works with local photovoltaic installers as a solar advisor.
